New Management, New Mission – Studio’s Fresh Start

Lindenhurst’s Studio Theatre changed hands again Jan. 1, but this time, it won’t close for seven years. In fact, opening night is tonight for Anne Meara’s “AfterPlay,” directed by David Dubin, new owner of Studio and longtime associate of BroadHollow Theatre Company, which twice before spun off its upstairs space in the village.

Aside from new management, Studio Theatre also has a new mission, according to Dubin. “We think the only formula for success here is a more cutting-edge direction,” he says. “But it won’t happen all at once.”
